Our church is a part of the American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region. We cooperate with our regional denomination office to support various ministries because we can do more together than we can individually. At the same time, in the Baptist way of operating the church, each church remains autonomous and free from outside control. All decision making is made at the local church level, although we certainly seek wisdom and support from our denomination when facing important decisions.
